Spectrum Aeromed outfits Raytheon in record time

Fargo, N.D. (Mar 29, 2010) – In less than eight days, Spectrum Aeromed was able to deliver mission-ready air ambulance equipment and dual stretchers to complete a custom medical interior for a Raytheon Airline Aviation Services Beechcraft 1900D aircraft. A configuration of this complexity typically takes 30 to 45 days.
Why the big rush? Raytheon wanted to be ready to respond to potential medical evacuation requirements associated with earthquake-damaged communities in Haiti. Raytheon chose Spectrum Aeromed to configure the aircraft with the necessary air ambulance equipment.
Within 24 hours of initial collaborating discussions, Spectrum Aeromed began working with Raytheon to equip and configure the 1900D aircraft with a state-of-the-art air medical interior which includes an advanced life support system, stretcher, manual patient loader and seat rail adaptor.
The Raytheon maintenance team pre-wired the aircraft in their Wichita, KS facility while the engineers at Spectrum Aeromed assembled medical modules to fit the aircraft.
